Questioned how TypeSafe raised $40M given Jev's $0.042/M input and $0.00/M output pricing, even at 100 million users.

I'm trying to understand how Typesafe (Jev) raised $40M when their product is $0.042/M input and $0.00/M output. I'm sure there is more coming, but even if 100 million people are using it, it's peanuts.
